“Northern Neck Jazz4Justice Concert raises $10,000” Rappahannock Record - Jazz4Justice Northern Neck 2026
The Jazz4Justice Champions brought its “End of Summer Bash” to Heathsville on Saturday, August 22, for the second annual Jazz4Justice Northern Neck Concert.
The event raised $10,000, primarily for Legal Aid Works to help Northern Neck families facing life-altering civil legal issues. The benefit at Northumberland High School was presented by the Northern Neck Bar Association.
“This second benefit concert was a great success, and we thank our generous sponsors, the 125 people who attended and the fabulous musicians,” said attorney Edward Weiner, who cofounded Jazz4Justice 25 years ago with his wife, Maura. “It was a wonderful night for jazz and improving access to justice.”
A donation also will be made to the Northumberland High School music program, said Weiner.
Jazz4Justice (jazz4justice.com) is supported by a Virginia Law Foundation grant and has received awards from the American Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar. The organization looks forward to a third Northern Neck concert in August 2027.
